Night shift sleep kit (Canada)
Sleeping by day comes down to two things: dark and quiet. NIOSH’s training for shift-working nurses says to make your bedroom so dark you can’t see your hand (blackout shades or drapes, or an eye mask) and to block noise with earplugs or a white noise machine.
This kit is that list, with the prices Price Tracker Canada reads at Canadian stores: what each item costs now, its lowest price in the last 30 days, and Amazon.ca links. Compression socks are for the shift itself.

Build it in this order
- Dark first: blackout blinds or curtains for the window, then a sleep mask for whatever light is left.
- Then quiet: earplugs, or a white noise machine if earplugs aren’t comfortable.
- For the shift: compression socks, if you’re on your feet all night (ask a health professional which level).
NIOSH also suggests keeping the phone from waking you and blocking light under the door. Read NIOSH’s advice.

What should be in a night shift sleep kit?
Something to make the room dark (blackout blinds or curtains, a sleep mask) and something to make it quiet (earplugs or a white noise machine). That’s NIOSH’s advice for shift workers. Compression socks are a common addition for long shifts on your feet.
Where do these prices come from?
Price Tracker Canada reads store pages at Canadian stores several times a day through members’ browsers and keeps 30 days of prices. These pages show each price at least 15 minutes after it was read, with its 30-day low and high. Check the store before you buy.
Why are there no Amazon.ca prices?
Amazon.ca’s rules for associates don’t allow us to show Amazon prices we’ve stored, so Amazon.ca products link to Amazon.ca, where you’ll see today’s price. We earn a commission if you buy through those links.
Can I get an alert when one of these drops?
Yes. Sign up free with Discord, watch a product or a keyword, and pick your price. You’ll get an email or a Discord DM when it drops.
